We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of the most unique and enthralling addition to the vibrant arts and culture scene in New York City. On October 31, 2023, the McKibbin Lofts witnessed the transformation of the company's previous 100 sqft space into a sprawling 1000 square-foot showcase of human bones, marking the largest collection of its kind in New York City.
The Bone Museum offers a captivating journey through the intriguing history of medical osteology, an industry dedicated to studying, preserving, and increasing access to human bones, and an up-close educational experience with the museum’s extensive collection of bones ranging from spinal columns to complete skeletons. Visitors can explore exhibit cases, get an up-close look, and shed light on the evolution of bone-related sciences and practices.
“My goal since starting JonsBones has been to preserve the practice while increasing educational access to the human anatomy,” said Jon Ferry, CEO of JonsBones. “This space will not only allow more visitors, but it will also allow us to showcase our entire catalog of bones.”
One of the most fascinating aspects of this endeavor is that it will be one of the only bone museums on the entire East Coast. The Bone Museum will provide an unmatched experience, bringing abundant knowledge and curiosity to a city that never ceases to amaze. Museum tickets can be purchased online and in-person for $20. The museum will offer discounts for age and educational affiliation at $15.
JonsBones has seen an impressive 30% increase in sales year over year, reflecting the growing interest in bone-related sciences and human history. Since our inception, our collection has doubled every year, showcasing the dedication and passion behind this extraordinary project. This rapid growth is a testament to our community's overwhelming enthusiasm and support and the educational partners we sell to.
With over 590,000 devoted followers on social media, the company’s online presence has played an instrumental role in building a global community of bone enthusiasts, researchers, and history lovers. Through its digital platform, the company continues to share fascinating insights, updates, and exclusive content, contributing to the ever-increasing interest in the Bone Museum.
The grand opening of the Bone Museum promises to be a historic event in the cultural landscape of New York City.
