This specimen is a skull prepared as a teaching tool for medical students. The calvarium cut which allows access to view inside the skull, has been wired shut. The mandible has an internal attachment, and cannot be removed. Due to natural tooth loss over time, a significant amount of teeth are missing. The sockets show evidence of healing, indicating the individual lost their teeth during their lifetime. It has a soft white patina and metal hardware. Responsibly sourced, beautifully preserved, and thoughtfully selected, this skull is the perfect tool for medical students, working professionals, and individuals interested in learning about osteology.
