This specimen is a skull prepared as a teaching tool for medical students. The calvarium is cut, allowing for a closer examination of the internal structures of the skull. It has an internal spring attachment, and cannot be removed. The teeth are in good condition, and some show evidence of periodontal disease. There are small felt cushions attached to the bottom of the mandible and occipital bone, to aid in balance.This skull has a white patina and metal hardware. Responsibly sourced, beautifully preserved, and thoughtfully selected, this skull is the perfect tool for medical students, working professionals, and individuals interested in learning about osteology.
